So recently I decided to treat myself to a new eyeshadow palette. I only have the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette (check out my mini-review here) and while I love it dearly and still use it regularly I thought it was time for a shake up. Cue the Sleek i-Divine Palette.
The palette was a bargain for just €9.99 in Sam McCauley’s in Waterford. There are 17 palettes in total in the i-Divine collection each with 12 beautifully pigmented colours. I got the Oh So Special palette which has some lovely pink and brown shades for the daytime and deeper purples and navies to take me into the night. There is a mixture of matte and sparkle here and boy are these mineral based shadows pigmented!
The palette has a super big mirror which is perfect if you need to apply on the go, and just look at those colours! The lighter colours, for example Bow in the top left hand corner in the picture above, are not as pigmented as the deeper colours but they make great bases and as with all these colours you can built them on in layers to achieve the look you want. The only thing I will say is that the case shows up every finger print and smudge possible which isn’t good for a messy girl like me but on the other hand it’s what’s in the case that counts.
And as an extra bonus to this beautiful product, no Sleek products are tested on animals and they are all suitable for vegans. This is an extremely important point and it just goes to show how unnecessary and cruel animal testing really is. If Sleek can produce such a great product without testing it on animals ever other cosmetic company should be following suit. I for one cannot wait to try out some more of their products and have my eye on some of their gorgeous lipsticks.
Have you tried any Sleek products that you can recommend for me to try out next?
