So it was all go this past weekend. After some last minute planning my brother and his partner successfully wet the babies’ heads, literally. Yup, their twins have been baptised and celebrated.
Any of you who know me will know that I was super excited to become an aunt for the first time recently, well imagine my excitement when I was told I had a godson thrown into the bargain too.
Below you are looking at a very proud godmother who is already finding it super difficult not to spoil him and his sister in every way possible. I’m finding it difficult to pass any baby shop at the moment and have already started thinking about starting them a college fund, I don’t know how you new mothers do it!
Anyway enough about the bundles of cuteness already and on to what I wore! I’m afraid I don’t have any close up shots as the day really wasn’t about me but you get the jist of my outfit from the group shot above.
Here I wore my cream Just Addicted grecian dress from Endora.ie. Check out my full review of this dress here. This was a great dress for the occasion as it was easy to dress down and was respectable enough to wear to a church without being boring. I could also wear flats with it which was great for such a long day.
All my accessories were from Penneys. This kimono is a great cover and as the summer is slipping away I went for autumnal colours in the hopes of getting another wear or two our of it before packing it away until next year.
The t-bar pumps are also from Penneys and for me it was definitely love at first sight. When I saw them I just had to have them Ok, confession time! As my dress was cream I could really pick whatever colour I wanted to brighten up the outfit. As soon as I saw these shoes I pretty much mixed and matched everything else to go with them.
The clutch is red, black and, even though you can’t see it here, the side panels are cream. It also has a gold chain strap tucked inside. The only grip I have with this is you can’t clip the chain off the bag so you have to tuck it inside if you want to use it as a clutch.
For my make up I kept it pretty simple my and used a red lip to brighten up my face and make the look a bit more special.
So that’s what I wore to a family christening and all that’s left to say is Amy and Liam (my godson) you are going to be spoilt rotten!
