Review: No 7 products

A couple of weeks ago Boots were running a promotion with No 7 and it was something I had to get in on. The blogging world was all a flutter with talk of what was in the beautiful gift box that you received when you bought two No7 products. So off I went to my local Boots to see what all the fuss was about. Now No 7 is not a brand I would have a lot of experience with but to be honest I may be converted.

I bought No 7 Nourishing Nail and Cuticle Care as my nails have been very weak and brittle lately. I try to use it daily and I find that it has been working. My nails are stronger and my cuticles are less sensitive. For €8 you get 10 ml of product but it lasts as you only use a little at a time. I use it at the very least five times a week (I try for seven) and I am not even half way through the bottle yet. This is a great product and one I would definitely consider repurchasing.

For my second product, and in the eternal mission of finding the perfect flick, I got the Stay Precise Liquid Liner €9 in black. As many of you know I am constantly striving (and mostly failing) to perfect flicked eyeliner. I have tried it all, pencil, liquid, gel and still cannot do it without making a mess. However I think this eyeliner comes pretty close to perfect. It is easy to apply and the applicator is super thin so you can start out small and build it to your desired look. The colour is intense and gives the perfect blackest black line. It does take a minute or two to dry though so for those of us with deeper set eyes it can transfer to your lid quite easily. However, at the moment this is my go to eyeliner for a glamorous look.

Now for the Blossom Gift Box. This is what everyone was talking about. The package is super cute, pink with floral design and once opened it literally blossoms like a gorgeous flower. A flower filled with beauty goodies that is. In it I received an illuminator, lip crayon, eye shadow and mascara.

I got The High Shine Intense Lip Crayon in the shade Delicate Pink and I love it. It has slight shimmer to it but is still quite sheer so that it can be worn for any day time look. It is also great as a top coat over a paler lipstick or liner. It is really comfortable on the lips and last quite well for a crayon. It is also the perfect size to pop in your handbag so reapplying is never an issue.

I also received the Exceptional Definition Mascara in black. Now the bottle that was in my gift box was quite dried out which was disappointing but I did manage to get a few uses out of it and what I was impressed by it. It’s a pity that I didn’t get to try this product out properly as I really liked it and the brush in particular impressed me. I usually do not like the rubber bristled brushed but with this formula it really worked and gave my lashes a defined look.

I also received a 10 ml bottle of Skin Illuminator Radiance Boosting Beauty Fluid. It says you can apply this alone or under your foundation, I have never tried it on it’s own but under foundation it gives a gorgeous dewy glow. I tend to just use a little bit as I want to glow not shine but its a handy little product that does exactly what it says on the tin.

The eyeshadow I got was the Stay Perfect Eyeshadow in Cappuccino. I fell in love with this. It is a gorgeous colour, has creamy consistency and blends like a dream. It is great used as a base, a natural creaser or just on it’s own for a simple look. This along with the lip crayon were the stand out products for me in the gift box.
