Recently I went to a vintage tea party as part of my friends hen party. We were encouraged to dress up in 1950s style and headed out to Curraghmore House in Waterford where it was held. When we arrived Karrena from Oh So Sweet Occasions had already set up a great tea party including bunting, lace tablecloths, cups and saucers, cutlery, sandwiches, cupcakes, cakes and a 50s soundtrack.
We could choose from tea, coffee and pink lemonade (I had both tea and lemonade!). There were numerous types of sandwiches, scones with cream and jam, and more cakes then we could handle. The lemon drizzle cake in particular was delicious. As many of you may already know I am a lover of anything vintage so this clever idea for a hen party struck me as pure genius. I also got to wear my black vintage Audrey Hepburn inspired dress from Retro, which I LOVE. Check out my review of this outfit here.
It was a great way to spend the day and the surroundings were just perfect. We all had a great time and most of all so did the hen!
Have you ever been to a hen that is something different to the stereotypical drunken weekend?
