Life is Catching Up With Me

Well guys, I’m sorry for my inactivity lately but a lot has been happening. I have moved house, moved cities and started a new job in the past couple of weeks so everything has been a bit hectic.

Firstly I got a new job as a Website Editorial Assistant at International Living in Waterford. I get to create some really cool content and work with people from all over the world.

It did mean that I had to move from the wilds of West Cork to Waterford city and on to a new adventure. I am lucky to have great friends here in Waterford who let me stay with them while I found myself a house but now I’m all settled in my new place.

I’m sharing a house with four other people and have finally sorted my internet. Now that I have my base I will be back on track with my writing both on this blog and with Intrigue.ie.

This weekend was the first weekend that I spend in Waterford and boy did I make the most of it. My housemate very kindly invited me to join her and her friend on a night out. We got to see The Jam Tarts in Kazbar which were unbelievable.

Something I’ve noticed is that the music seen in Waterford is amazing. I have never seen so many bands play fiddles, flutes and tin whistles along with guitars and drums while playing modern songs.

My sister also came to visit and we went to see Forkin Spoon in Shortts and Lebowski in The Front Lounge. This new music scene is something that I am going to do my best to take advantage of.

We then embarked on a culture day in the country’s oldest city. Visiting the Medieval Museum was really interesting and I would recommend getting the electronic guided tour as it doesn’t cost any extra and gives you so much more information.

Well that’s you guys all caught up with what’s been going on with me and I hope to have some really interesting posts coming your way in the next couple of week.

  1. Glad you’ve settled into life in Waterford. Now you can venture a little further afield to the seaside town of Tramore, with its vast beach, quirky cafes and even quirkier people.
