Head organiser, Hannah Courtney, is travelling to Kolkata, India with The Hope Foundation in October where she will bring yoga and healing to the children of HOPE and their carers.
The Hope Foundation was set up in 1999 to raise funds for one girl’s home, today it funds over 60 projects in education, primary healthcare, shelter, vocational training, child protection and drug rehabilitation.
The charity works with 16 local Indian NGOs to rescue thousands of children from the streets and slums of Kolkata. Hope aims to help break the cycle of poverty and abuse and free the street and slum children from a life of horror and fear.
Brookpark Therapies provides a private, tranquil setting for people to come for treatments for the mind, body and soul. The business was started to offer a welcoming and open atmosphere that people would be comfortable coming to, relaxing and letting go of stress and allowing their bodies and minds to heal.
Owner Orela Kingston is fully qualified in massage and reflexology. After studying in China she returned to Ireland and got her diploma in Kinesiology. She also has qualifications in ear candling and IET.
