I have never been a sporty person but I’m also not one to say no to a night out so when I was invited to dinner at Curraheen Park Greyhound Stadium I jumped at the chance.
Horse racing has always been a passion in my family but sure anything running on four legs is the same thing right? Well pretty much, I had a great night and won some money!
The biggest problem I faced about the night was what to wear. My immediate thought was to go casual but then we were going to a restaurant and there was a chance of going out afterwards. As well as that I am a firm believer in dressing up for every occasion.
So I opted for a classical look that wouldn’t look out of place in the office or out for dinner once properly accessorised.
I wore a black peplum top with lace cap sleeves from Dunnes Stores. This was a great buy as it can be dressed up or down and goes with everything. It gives a great silhouette especially if you are graced with wider hips like myself. Teamed with a cotton geometric print pencil skirt from Marks and Spencer gives the look a modern twist while the length gives the look a classy edge. My shoes were black sandal wedges by Hot Tin Roof that I picked up in Heatons. They are incredibly comfortable and easy to walk in while giving you that extra boost of height. Team with a blazer and the look is perfect for the office but for dinner I teamed it with a gold aztec style necklace to finish off the look.
