Summer time is the perfect time for a nice cool smoothie. Not only is it a healthy and filling snack that is easy to enjoy at home and on the go there are also many health benefits.
Eating or in this case drinking raw fruits and vegetables in a smoothie will improve your daily life in many ways. Making smoothies at home will save you both money and time in the long run but it will also do wonders for your health.
As it is in liquid form a smoothie will ensure that you are properly hydrated and will also provide a variety of vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants depending on course on the ingredients used.
Smoothies are full of natural fibre to help digestion. It has been scientifically proven that smoothies are brain fuel due to the fructose in many of the recipes.
The fruit and vegetables involved in making smoothies will improve your immune system and help to protect you from illness.
You can use pretty much any fruit and vegetables you like in your smoothie but here is one of my favourites.
Put all the ingredients into a smoothie maker or blender and blitz until smooth. Pour and enjoy!
